Privacy Policy

TakaRegister makes two applications — Taka Register and Vyora. Both store your business data locally on your device; we do not run our own database of your books. The data involved:

  • Google Account Data: If you enable Google Drive sync/backup, we request access only to your Google Drive to store and retrieve the files these apps create. We do not read, modify, or share any other Google account data.
  • Taka Register — Local Business Data: All mill operational data (weavers, purchases, production records) is stored in a local SQLite database on your machine.
  • Vyora — Tally Data: A desktop agent copies your Tally company data into your own Google Drive so the Vyora app can display it. This data flows between your PC, your Drive, and your phone — it is not sent to TakaRegister.
  • Vyora — Device Licensing: To manage per-seat licensing, Vyora sends your account email and a device identifier to our licensing service (hosted on Google) when you activate a device. This is used only to count and manage licensed devices.

When you connect your Google account, Taka Register and Vyora will:

  • Create and access only the files these applications create in your Google Drive.
  • Never read, modify, or share any other files in your Google Drive.
  • Never use your Google data for advertising or any purpose beyond sync and backup.
  • Store your OAuth tokens locally on your device only.

Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Application data is stored locally on your device. We do not keep a copy of your books on TakaRegister servers. Files synced to Google Drive are under the control of your Google account and subject to Google's own privacy policy. The only data we receive is the licensing information described above, used solely to manage device seats.

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. The external services used are Google Drive (user-initiated sync/backup) and, for Vyora, a Google-hosted licensing service used only to verify device seats.

Since your data resides on your device and in your own Drive, you can delete the apps and their files at any time. To revoke Google Drive access, remove the app from your Google Account permissions. To release a Vyora device seat, remove the device from the licensing screen in the desktop app.

TakaRegister's applications are business tools not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
